The civic association CIC (Centre for Integration of Foreigners) was founded in June 2003 by Lucie Ditrychová, Barbora Machová and Vladislav Günter, who had by that time gained extensive experience in the NGO sector, particularly in the area of integrating foreigners.

They were soon joined by Gozel Challyjeva and Zuzana Bednářová. In this ensemble CIC kicked off its activities in 2004 by a project for Prague and another one for the entire  Czech Republic. Both projects focused on social counselling for asylum seekers and foreigners, especially those disadvantaged by health and age. The two projects eventually led to the widening of CIC's activities and focus on more groups of foreigners, and the augmentation of CIC's staff. CIC gets involved in numerous interdepartmental committees, boards and work groups and thus tries to put across some of its philosophy.

Currently, we are active in the whole region of Bohemia and in the Vysočina Region.

Our activities go beyond social counselling and include employment counselling, volunteer service and the development and implementation of the open courses of Czech language for foreigners.
