Our Mission
The mission and motto of CIC: “We help immigrants to become our fellow citizens.“
Our goal is the society that has established rules and mechanisms for the integration of newcomers without their specific or special support and protection.
CIC does not perceive the newcomers as members of different ethnic, racial or religiously defined groups, but as the individuals in the society. CIC emphasizes an individual approach, responsibility and liberal decision of each individual to accept and respect the values of society, rights and the resulting obligations.
Core values, which in terms of the CIC should be respected by the immigrants and by the majority as well, are:
- Respect for the democratic establishment, the Constitution, and Bill of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms, particularly the equality of all members of society regardless of their origin, skin colour, religion, ethnicity, political opinions, etc.
- Equality between men and women
- Compliance with the laws of the Czech Republic and the EU
